At Safety Net Solutions Initiative (SNSI), our mission is to revolutionize harm reduction by expanding awareness and providing a lifeline to those in need. We are committed to dramatically increasing public knowledge of and access to harm reduction tools and solutions, ensuring that life-saving resources are accessible when and where they are needed most. Inspired by Jane Goodall’s wisdom, we strive to create a safer and more informed community.
About Safety Net Solutions Initiative (SNSI):
SNSI is a pioneering 501(C)3 organization dedicated to revolutionizing harm reduction. We partner with high-traffic companies to offer comprehensive training, awareness programs, and harm reduction tools for distribution. Our activities include community workshops, school programs, public seminars, training sessions, and online courses. We develop and distribute educational materials and harm reduction toolkits, establish resource libraries, and conduct public awareness campaigns. Through our website, blog, and social media campaigns, we provide up-to-date information and engage with the community.
SNSI Programs & Initiatives
Harm Reduction Kiosk Deployment
SNSI strategically installs harm reduction vending machines in high-traffic locations, providing easy, free, and discreet access to essential tools. These kiosks are stocked with life-saving resources such as Naloxone, fentanyl/xylazine combination test strips, and latex drink covers. By placing these machines in accessible areas, we ensure that individuals can obtain the necessary tools to prevent overdoses and promote safer substance use practices. Our initial deployment in Wilmington, Delaware, serves as a proof of concept, demonstrating the significant positive impact that harm reduction kiosks can have on communities.
Opioid Overdose Training
SNSI offers comprehensive opioid overdose training programs, available both in-person and virtually, to equip businesses, organizations, and individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively recognize and respond to opioid overdoses. Our training sessions cover essential topics such as the identification of overdose symptoms, proper administration of Naloxone, and emergency response protocols. By educating the community and enhancing their preparedness, we aim to reduce the incidence of opioid-related deaths and foster a safer environment for all.
Portable Harm Reduction Kits
SNSI creates and curates comprehensive harm reduction kits tailored to meet the specific needs of different communities. Our portable kits, such as the Rhythm Rescue Kit for festival-goers, the Guardian Gear Kit for individuals, and the Safety Net Suite Set for the hotel industry, provide essential harm reduction tools in convenient, discreet packages. These kits include items like Naloxone plungers, fentanyl/xylazine test strips, and latex drink covers, ensuring that users have access to life-saving resources wherever they are. By distributing these kits, SNSI empowers individuals to take proactive steps in preventing overdoses and promoting safer practices.
